We deliver water to over 600 farmers throughout the Renmark Irrigation District of South Australia, supporting approximately $400m in annual agricultural production and forming a critical part of the region’s productive infrastructure. Established in 1893, Renmark Irrigation Trust is Australia’s oldest operating irrigation trust.

As Australia’s oldest irrigation trust, we play an important role in advocating for practical, evidence-based water policy and industry settings at state and federal levels, while also representing Australian irrigation internationally through relevant forums, partnerships and water stewardship initiatives.

The Trust has been recognised globally for water stewardship, becoming the first irrigation scheme in the world to achieve gold and then platinum certification under the Alliance for Water Stewardship model. Looking ahead, we remain focused on responsible water management, efficient service delivery, policy leadership, and practical partnerships that support our members, community and local environment.
