Bas Tensen has an extensive work history, starting in 2000 with Fairfax Media. Bas held various marketing roles at Fairfax Media, including Classifieds Marketing Manager and Promotions Manager for The Age newspaper. In 2005, they joined Telstra and worked in multiple positions, such as Digital Strategy Manager and Commercial Manager for Trading Post Online. From 2013 to 2018, Bas was the Group General Manager at TradingPost Group. Bas also worked as a Country GM in Malaysia for Springday Pty Ltd and as the Director of Operations - Asia at BetVictor. Currently, Bas is serving as the Head of Internal Marketing at Renoir Consulting. Additionally, they served as an Executive Committee Member for the Malaysia Australia Business Council from 2014 to 2017.
Bas Tensen attended Stedelijk Gymnasium Leiden from 1984 to 1991. Bas then pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Political Economy at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), completing their degree from 1992 to 1998. After a break, they resumed their education and obtained a Master's degree in Business/Commerce, General from RMIT University from 2003 to 2005.
