Yan Chen has extensive work experience in various roles, primarily as a software engineer and developer. Since 2018, they have been a Data Science Developer at Rent., where they work on property ranking, recommendation, and performance marketing applications using machine learning and AI optimization. Prior to this, they worked as a Python Developer at Tenable Network Security from 2017 to 2018, focusing on security vulnerability data collection and processing. From 2016 to 2017, Yan was a Python Developer at ControlScan, specializing in PCI compliance and security industry, including the development of an event logging system and vulnerability scanner management. From 2012 to 2016, they served as a Principal Software Engineer at Dell Secureworks, leading the development of CPE log collectors for their MSS platform. Yan also held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Internap Network Services from 2010 to 2012, where they led the development of custom network appliances and management systems.
