Renter, Inc. performs landlord reference checks on behalf of property managers — so your team doesn’t have to.

Many operators skip landlord references entirely, or do them inconsistently, because they’re time-consuming, slow leasing down, and are easy to fake when the “landlord” isn’t actually verified.

We specialize exclusively in Verification of Rent, with one critical difference:

We verify that the reference comes from the actual landlord or property manager of the property — not just whoever the applicant listed.

Bad tenants can easily fake landlord contact information. We eliminate that risk by validating landlord identity and authority before collecting rental history.

Our managed service gives you:

Legitimate landlord references you can trust

Faster, more consistent turnaround without burdening leasing staff

A standardized process across properties and teams

Better insight into the applicant’s most recent behavior — not just historical credit data

Property managers use Renter, Inc. when they want landlord references handled professionally, thoroughly, and at scale — without slowing leasing velocity.

Since 2015, we’ve helped operators reduce evictions, prevent fraud, and approve renters with confidence by fixing the most overlooked step in tenant screening.
