Aliya Weiss

Aliya Weiss is an experienced news editor specializing in bankruptcy and distressed debt, currently serving at Reorg since February 2019. Weiss's role involves ensuring the accuracy and clarity of news and analysis across various Reorg products and leading special projects to enhance editorial standards and processes. Previous positions include lead editor for Brightwire, where responsibilities encompassed news and investment research, as well as technical reviewing and copy editing for the CK-12 Foundation. Weiss has held editorial roles at Terra Holdings, where extensive writing and editing tasks were completed, and held positions at Barnes & Noble College, Salamander Magazine, and other organizations that reinforced a strong foundation in writing, editorial oversight, and project management. Aliya holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University and a BA in English and Creative Writing from Colby College.
