Joaquin Vicente Ferrer

Joaquin Vicente Ferrer is a Vulnerability & Adaptation Modeler at repath since April 2025. Prior experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Doctoral Researcher within the Natural Hazards Working Group at the University of Potsdam from October 2021 to March 2025, and as a Guest Doctoral Researcher in the Complexity Science Research Department at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research during the same period. Joaquin contributed as a University Research Associate at the University of the Philippines Diliman from January 2018 to October 2018, focusing on coastal hydrodynamic and morphologic modeling for the Blue Carbon Assessment Program, and also served as a Lecturer. Previous research experience includes an internship at Osaka University, where studies centered on storm surge modeling. Joaquin holds multiple degrees, including a Dr. rer. nat. in Natural Hazards Research from the University of Potsdam and a Master's in Water Science and Engineering from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, among others.
