Aziz Gilani

Aziz Gilani is a Managing Director at Mercury Fund, where they lead investments in early-stage technology companies. With over fifteen years in venture capital, they have also served on various boards, including the National Venture Capital Association and the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. As a lecturer at Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business, they have taught entrepreneurial finance for more than thirteen years. Aziz holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a BBA from The University of Texas at Austin. They have been recognized with multiple awards, including the 2021 NVCA Outstanding Service Award.
