Darina Spasova

Director of Pharmacology at Replicate Bioscience

Darina Spasova has a wide range of work experience in the field of pharmacology. Darina currently serves as Director of Pharmacology at Replicate Bioscience, Inc. Prior to this role, they worked at Gossamer Bio from 2019 to 2021 in various roles, including Senior Scientist, Scientist II, and Scientist I. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at Synthetic Genomics as a Research Project and Group Leader (Infectious disease and oncology vaccines). From 2016 to 2018, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology. From 2010 to 2016, they were a Predoctoral researcher at The Scripps Research Institute. In 2008 and 2009, they were an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Davidson College and a Summer Research Student at Duke University, respectively.

Darina Spasova received their high school diploma from the American College of Sofia in 2005, with a focus in math, English, and chemistry. Darina then went on to receive a B.S. in Biology from Davidson College in 2010. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from Scripps Research in 2016.
