Laima Tazmin has had a successful career in software engineering and engineering management. Laima started their career in 2001 as the Founder & Web Developer at LAVT LLC, where they were awarded the 1st annual Baruch College & Merrill Lynch IPO Challenge Award for Leadership & Innovation. In 2010, they were a Program Manager Intern at Microsoft, where they designed, planned and successfully shipped a troubleshooting tool. Laima then moved on to DOTGO as a Software Engineer in 2011, Lazoo Worldwide as a Lead Android Developer in 2013, Refinery29, Inc. as a Staff Engineer in 2014, Instagram as a Senior Software Engineer in 2018, Canopy (acquired by CNN) as a Mobile Engineer in 2019, and CNN as a Staff Software Engineer in 2020. Most recently, they are an Engineering Manager at Replit since 2021.
Laima Tazmin attended Columbia Engineering from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
