Niall O'Higgins

Niall O'Higgins is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in application security, site reliability engineering, and infrastructure management. Currently serving as the Director of AppSec, SRE, and Infra at Replit since October 2025, Niall previously co-founded and served as CEO at StepChange Labs, Inc., where a focus was placed on enhancing performance and reliability for data-intensive applications. Niall held the position of Director of Engineering at The General Partnership, contributing to a $240 million venture fund, and served as Senior Engineering Manager at Coinbase, where Niall was instrumental in establishing the first SRE organization and improving infrastructure reliability. Earlier roles include Engineering Manager at Nextdoor, Founder of FrozenRidge, LLC, and BeyondFog, as well as software engineering positions at Metaweb Technologies, Inc., and OpenBSD. Niall holds a BA in Computer Science from University College Dublin.
