John van Zalk

John van Zalk is a seasoned professional in data analytics with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Data Analytics at RE+ Events and as the Founder of Filast since April 2023, John previously held positions at the Smart Electric Power Alliance from June 2016 to February 2023, where significant contributions included developing automated processes for data management, performing statistical analyses for member retention, and creating applications for executive reporting. John has also gained experience as an intern at the U.S. Department of State, managing outreach initiatives and participant databases. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Earth, Energy, and Sustainability from Leiden University College The Hague, completion of a Data Analytics Bootcamp at The George Washington University, and a student exchange program in Physical Sciences at McGill University.
