McCarthy began their career as the CFO of RunMoney Corporation in 2001. Michael held this position until December 2002 when they left to start 1st CFO, LLC.

Michael McCarthy attended Immaculata High School, Marquette University, and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Michael has a BS in Accounting, an MBA in Business Administration, and various certifications from the Section4, United States Golf Association (USGA), American Sailing Association, AICPA, California Department of Insurance, NACVA, and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
