Bin Liu

Bin Liu is a seasoned Reservoir Engineer Advisor at Repsol, with extensive experience in reservoir engineering and simulation, particularly in Gulf of Mexico and various onshore projects. Since joining Repsol in August 2009, Bin Liu has focused on reservoir simulation, assisted history matching, production optimization, and uncertainty studies, while utilizing advanced modeling techniques such as WAG EOR and heavy oil field modeling. Prior to this role, Bin Liu served as a Senior Reservoir Engineer, conducting engineering work on Gulf of Mexico assets and implementing field performance monitoring and reserve booking. Bin Liu's earlier experience includes working as a Reservoir Engineer at Knowledge Reservoir, where reservoir simulation and technical research encompassed modeling across multiple regions. Bin Liu holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Tulsa.
