Daniel Casado

Daniel Casado is an experienced professional in energy management with a strong background in wholesale markets backoffice operations. Currently serving as the Head of Wholesale Markets Backoffice at Repsol since November 2018, responsibilities include monitoring the commodity position of the company's portfolio and reporting portfolio exposure to top management. Prior to Repsol, Daniel held similar positions at Viesgo and E.ON Spain, where duties also involved monitoring commodity and credit risk positions and reporting to risk committees. Earlier experience includes roles at Enel, managing settlements and commodity risk control, as well as positions as a Power Spot Trader and Real Time Trader, demonstrating expertise in power market bidding and real-time system management. Daniel holds a degree in Mining Engineering, specializing in Energy and Fuels, from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
