Laszlo Benkovics

Laszlo Benkovics has extensive experience in the field of geology and exploration, with a career spanning over two decades. Laszlo served as an Exploration Geologist at Petroleos de Venezuela from 1998 to 2003 and worked in a similar capacity at MOL in 2003-2004, focusing on the TAL Block in Pakistan. Following this, Laszlo held various roles at Repsol YPF from July 2004 to November 2021, including New Ventures Manager, Technical Team Lead for Caribbean Exploration, and Exploration Quality and Resources Manager, responsible for leading the Exploration Technical Quality Assurance Team. Prior experience also includes an academic role as Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Budapest from 1991 to 1997. Laszlo holds a PhD in Geology from Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille and a degree in Geology from Eötvös Loránd University.
