Lynette Mudekunye has extensive experience in working with children in the East and Southern Africa region having worked in programme design and implementation with Save the Children UK in South Africa and Zimbabwe, with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, the National Development Agency (in South Africa) and was the founding National Coordinator of the Farm Community Trust of Zimbabwe. Her work has involved close collaboration with many stakeholders including governments, civil society and academic institutions. She has been with REPSSI since 2010 and served in several capacities including Deputy Executive Director, Advisor, Head of Social Business Development and Acting CEO. She participated in the development and roll out of the Teachers’ Diploma in Psychosocial Care, Support and Protection; has supported the growth of the Regional Psychosocial Support and Mental Health forums; supported programme development and monitoring regionally and at country level. Lynette has Masters Degrees in Public Health and African Area Studies, both from UCLA (University of California in Los Angeles).
