Mark Phillips

Mark Phillips is a seasoned environmental management professional with extensive experience in waste management and renewable energy. Currently serving as Sr. Manager of Environmental Management at Republic Services since December 2008, Mark oversees the review of profiled wastes for compliance with environmental regulations across landfills in 40 states and Puerto Rico. Previously, Mark held multiple roles at Allied Waste, including Renewable Energy Contract Administrator, managing 57 landfill gas-to-energy contracts, and Special Waste Analyst, ensuring waste compliance in 37 states. Earlier experience includes positions as an Environmental Scientist at Western Technologies and Environmental Technician III at DDL OMNI Engineering. Mark holds a Master of Science in Environmental Health & Safety from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Soil Science with Environmental Emphasis from New Mexico State University.
