Matthew Claxton

Matthew Claxton is an experienced professional serving as Partner and Global Director of Sustainability at Plug and Play Tech Center since November 2018, where Matthew co-founded the Global Sustainability Vertical and launched programs across ten international offices. Claxton has developed accelerator programs focused on Circular Economy, Carbon Neutrality, Sustainable Fashion, Clean Resources, and ShelterTech. In addition to investment roles in several companies including Vaulted Deep, Rubi Laboratories, rePurpose Global, Heirloom, and Epoch Biodesign, Claxton is actively involved as a Board Observer for KETOS and has previously served as a Board Observer for Emagin. Claxton's earlier career includes a position as Business System Analyst at Xperi Corporation. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and additional professional development at Stanford University.
