Amanda Wilson

Amanda Wilson has had a wide range of work experience since 2008. Amanda began their career as an English-language Editorial Team Member for Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso and a Correspondent for StarNews. In 2011, they became a Correspondent for IPS Inter Press Service and wrote stories on topics related to environment, international law, foreign policy, and economics. Amanda also pitched, researched and published a three-part reporting series on the topic of human gene patenting and the Myriad Genetics gene patent case. In 2012, they were an Evaluation Specialist for UPI Next and a Freelance Writer for Capital Community News, DCMud, and Urban Scrawl. Amanda also joined the National Writers Union as a Guide on the National Executive Committee. In 2014, they became a Marketing Copywriter for Bloomberg BNA and wrote messaging as a copywriter on a creative team. In 2017, they joined REQ as an Associate Director of Content, a Senior Content Strategist, and a Senior Copywriter. In these roles, they worked with brands at every stage to find their voices and reach their audiences using every available medium. Amanda also ideated, crafted, launched, and optimized tiered, brand-integrated, multi-channel campaigns, and merged timing and creativity to leverage existing and new content, compel audiences, and transform results.

Amanda Wilson completed their Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2000 and 2004. Amanda then went on to earn a Master of Arts (MA) in Sociology and Social Anthropology from Central European University between 2010 and 2011.
