Hitoshi Sato

Hitoshi Sato serves as the Technical Director for Japan at Rescale since April 2019, where responsibilities include leading solution and customer teams in Cloud HPC, developing solutions, ensuring customer success, and providing technical support. Prior to this role, Hitoshi Sato was a Solutions Manager for Cloud HPC, focusing on client communication, system maintenance, and performance improvement. Hitoshi Sato's experience also includes positions as a Senior Research Scientist at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, where the design of software architecture for ABCI was accomplished, and as an Invited Senior Researcher and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, leading the design of storage systems for supercomputers. Earlier research includes a postdoctoral fellowship that involved developing GPU-accelerated implementations of MapReduce and storage systems for TSUBAME2. Hitoshi Sato holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical and Computing Sciences from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field.
