Jim Seidel

Jim Seidel is the current CEO of Rescue Essentials and was previously the Chief Operating Officer at Industrial Steel Construction, Inc. from June 2009 to December 2013. At Industrial Steel Construction, Inc., Jim oversaw 450 employees and 12 Directors within IT, HR, Project Management, Quality Control, Engineering, Business Development, and Operations. Jim was responsible for the full P&L and managed each function through the use of the Balanced Scorecard. Jim also personally handled construction contract disputes and contract negotiations. Jim experienced a threefold increase in man-hours through strategic bidding combined with master and shop scheduling. Additionally, they re-qualified the company to do work in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Jim introduced changes in all functional groups by upgrading talent in most Director positions. Jim also implemented new business processes including capacity planning, percent complete job tracking and production efficiency tracking. Furthermore, they improved forecasting, financial accuracy and tied employee compensation to performance. Lastly, they led the company through the $125M Huey P. Long bridge widening project which was second largest steel bridge fabrication job in the United States, second only to the new Oakland Bay bridge. Jim posted Lean Manufacturing A3 forms for employees to be recognized which increased productivity by as much as 100% in one shop.
