Richard Bilger

Richard Bilger is currently a Wholesale Product Specialist at Rescue Essentials. Richard has held this position since January of 2022. Prior to that, they were a Product Specialist – Vendor Relations at Rescue Essentials from June of 2017 to January of 2022. In this role, they were responsible for the introduction and launch of the Slishman Traction Splint into the distribution channels for Emergency Medical Services, both domestic and international markets. Richard also built training programs and tools for end-user education and distributor support. As a result of their efforts, there was a significant increase in adoption and sales of the product (300% over three years). Recently, they added a complete wholesale line of products for introduction to company distribution vendors.

Prior to their work at Rescue Essentials, Richard Bilger was the U.S. Education Coordinator at Water-Jel Technologies from June of 2013 to February of 2021. In this role, they developed a complete education program to improve the treatment of burn-injured patients in pre-hospital settings – approved for continuing education in several states. Richard also built a growing network of nationally certified educators to teach the program (currently at 260 educators). In addition, they were successful in getting Water-Jel burn products included in an industry text for emergency medical responders. Richard also worked with the International clinical education team to strategically work with burn centers and industry medical directors.

Richard Bilger's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Graphic Communications from Bemidji State University, as well as a certification from the EMS Regulatory Board of MN in Emergency Medical Responder.
