John Olson

Manager, Insights & UX Strategy at Research Narrative

John Olson has been working in the industry for over a decade. John began their career in 2008 as a Dramatist for Dual Artist, a Broadway-oriented writing duo. In 2014, they took on the role of Content Strategist for both Mid-Season Media and Sveriges Television, Meter Film & Television, Trublond Productions. John was also cast as the winner of Allt För Sverige [Season 4], a Swedish documentary and reality series with viewership of 1.9-2. In 2016, they became Manager of Insights & UX Strategy for Research Narrative, Inc. and Content Strategist for Trophy Nation. At Research Narrative, they provide strategic input, research design, heuristic evaluation, user research, iterative design research, insights analysis, reporting, team workshopping, and original design (via Figma). At Trophy Nation, they are a content & brand strategist and editor, helping to bridge the "mid-season" gap between where they are (now) and where they'd like to be (soon).

John Olson obtained a Certification in User Experience Design from Cornell University in December 2020. John completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature/Letters, Psychology, and Theater/Theatre from Indiana University Bloomington in 2006. Prior to that, they attended William Esper Studio and completed a Two-Year Conservatory Program in Acting - Sanford Meisner Technique in 2008.
