Philip D. Cotter

Philip Cotter, PhD, FACMG, FFSc(RCPA) is a distinguished expert in clinical laboratory management and molecular diagnostics, currently serving as the Principal and Co-Founder of ResearchDx, Inc. since December 2008. With extensive experience as a Consultant Clinical Laboratory Director for multiple international organizations, including GenSeq Group, Helix, and WuXiAppTec, Philip has held prominent academic positions as an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF and previously as both an Adjunct Associate and Assistant Professor. Philip's career also includes leadership roles at US LABS, Children’s Hospital and Research Center at Oakland, and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, highlighting a robust background in cytogenetics and molecular genetics. Philip holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, along with advanced degrees in plant breeding and botany from Lincoln University and the University of Canterbury.
