Reserve Wines was born out of an intimidating visit to a local wine shop. Determined to create a friendly and inspiring community around wine and give customers a really good time, our founder Kate Goodman opened her first shop in leafy West Didsbury, Manchester 20 years ago in 2003. 

In the early days, Kate turned to YouTube to share her expertise and make learning about wine fun. She was scouted by the BBC, who invited her to be the Wine Expert for their Food and Drink Programme. 

Fast forward 20 years and the flagship Didsbury store has evolved with the times to a hybrid wine shop and bar, alongside expanding to new sites in and around Manchester including Bents Home & Garden Centre, and bars at Picturedrome, Mackie Mayor, Altrincham Market House. During lockdown the online shop expanded, we offer over 1000 wines and spirits with the ambition of becoming the nation's favourite go-to indie wine shop.

Our friendly team of wine enthusiasts are here to help you navigate the world of wine & break down barriers. We champion interesting, quality driven wines of all budgets from all corners of the globe.

Each month we host monthly wine tastings across our sites in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Our tasting room at our flagship store on Burton Road is open for business for private bookings and corporate wine tastings for 2-16 people, creating a unique experience with quality wines, 5* service. There are over 500 wines available to take away or drink in - no booking needed. Stop by and say hi.
