From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer for Cushman & Wakefield's Real Estate Analytics. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Software Engineer for Accenture's Real Estate Group. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Sales Associate at Marcus & Millichap, where they made 100 cold calls a day as a commission-only investment real estate salesperson. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Multifamily Property Manager, helping to manage their family's small multifamily portfolio of 4-10 unit brownstones in NYC.

Alex H. attended Vanderbilt University from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
