Lead Instructional Designer at Resilia

Jack Michael has a diverse work experience in the field of education and instructional design. Jack is currently working as the Lead Instructional Designer at Resilia since 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Course Design Manager at Teachable from 2022 to 2022, where they were responsible for developing profitable online courses and implementing marketing strategies.

Before Teachable, Jack served as a Fine Arts Faculty member at Blue Ridge Community College from 2021 to 2022, where they taught Studio Art and Art History. Jack also worked as an Adjunct Professor, teaching Painting and providing a comprehensive course on Drawing at Warren Wilson College and Brevard College from 2020 to 2021.

Furthermore, Jack has experience as an Adjunct Professor at Brevard College and Georgia State University College of the Arts, where they taught courses on Modern & Contemporary Art and Introductory Studio, respectively. From 2006 to 2010, Jack attended The University of the South and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Fine/Studio Arts, General.

From 2017 to 2020, Jack pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Fine and Studio Arts at Georgia State University.

Currently, Jack is enrolled in the University of Michigan, working towards obtaining a Certificate in Leading for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Higher Education. The expected completion year for this certificate is 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Jack has obtained several certifications. In December 2019, they received a Certificate in FERPA (Education) from KnowBe4. In July 2020, they obtained three more certifications: Certificate: COVID-19 Best Practices, Certificate: Internet Security, and Certificate: Tools for Anti-Racist Teaching. These certifications were obtained from institutions such as KnowBe4 and PBS.
