The Resilience Alliance is a multidisciplinary research network that explores the dynamics of complex social-ecological systems (SESs).  Established in 1999, the RA is a registered not-for-profit organization (501 C3) supported by an international network of member institutions that includes universities, government, and non-government agencies. 

The RA's Science program integrates theory development with applied research at local to global scales.  Strategic projects and connections aim to extend resilience thinking to address challenges related to rapid environmental change, natural resource management, and governance of social-ecological systems.
