Jason Nielson is an experienced professional in the field of geotechnical and hydrology engineering with a focus on tailings management. Currently serving as the Manager of Tailings and Hydrology at Resolution Copper since March 2018, Jason previously held the position of Morenci Tailings Superintendent at Freeport-McMoRan from May 2013 to March 2018. Earlier in their career, Jason worked as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at URS Corporation and as a Geotechnical Engineer at both URS Corporation and Rio Tinto from May 2002 to May 2013. Jason obtained a Master's degree in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from the University of Utah between 1997 and 2002.
