Benjamin Murray

Benjamin Murray has held various roles in the cybersecurity field, starting as an IT Summer Intern at AXA US in 2017. Benjamin progressed to roles such as Tech Associate and Manager - CSIRT before moving on to positions at Booz Allen Hamilton, Equitable, and Resolution Life, where they currently serve as the Lead Cybersecurity IR Engineer. Prior to their cybersecurity roles, Benjamin also worked as a STEM Education Teacher at Syracuse City School District and as a Brand Ambassador at Marketing Werks.

Benjamin Murray pursued a diverse educational path starting with an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Music from Onondaga Community College in 2006-2009. Benjamin then furthered their studies with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from the State University of New York at Oswego in 2011-2013. Benjamin continued their academic journey by earning a Master's Degree in Information Management and a C.A.S in Information Security Management from Syracuse University in 2015-2018. Benjamin also obtained additional certifications including SANS GCED (501) from SANS Institute in January 2022 and a DLP Specialist certification from Proofpoint.
