Dr. Dirk Evers

Dr. Dirk Evers has extensive work experience in various roles and companies in the field of bioinformatics and genomics. Dr. Dirk currently serves as the Head of Data Science and Software Engineering at Resolve Biosciences since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Managing Partner at Dr. Dirk Evers Consulting starting from May 2016. Dr. Dirk was also a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board at HCEMM / Hungarian Centre of Excellence for Molecular Medicine from October 2021. Dr. Evers held multiple roles at Molecular Health GmbH, including SVP Alliance Management from October 2014 to April 2016 and VP Data Operations from November 2013 to September 2014. Dr. Dirk was the SVP of Informatics and a Sr. Advisor in Bioinformatics at the New York Genome Center from July 2012 to March 2013 and from March 2012 to July 2012, respectively. Before that, they worked as the Director of Computational Biology at Illumina Inc. from October 2007 to February 2012. Dr. Dirk also served as the Managing Director at the International NRW Graduate School in Bioinformatics and Genome Research at the University of Bielefeld from January 2005 to September 2007. Dr. Evers started their career as a Junior Group Leader in High Performance Biocomputing at the Centre for Biotechnology, University of Bielefeld from November 2003 to December 2004. Dr. Dirk began their professional journey as an Informatics Research Scientist at Exelixis Deutschland GmbH from April 2001 to October 2003.

Dr. Dirk Evers holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from Bielefeld University. Furthermore, they attended Trinity College Dublin, although the specific degree and field of study remain unknown.
