Sr. Project Manager / Sr. Analyst at Resource Data

David Roberts has a diverse work experience. David started their career at the University at Buffalo as a Graduate Assistant, where they designed websites, developed an appointment check-in system using Visual Basic, and worked on utilizing social networking for academic advising. David also worked as a Research Assistant, where they constructed and maintained a site to measure sap flow in trees, developed algorithms to process data, and utilized GIS for mapping and data processing.

After that, David joined Resource Data, Inc. as a GIS Programmer Analyst. In this role, they developed processes for data handling, map services administration, and custom widget development. David also designed a Geodatabase and assisted in setting up an Enterprise GIS Environment.

David then progressed to the role of Sr. GIS Programmer Analyst at Resource Data, Inc. David managed GIS and web development projects, focusing on Enterprise GIS Systems and web-based order management systems.

Currently, David is working at Resource Data, Inc. as a Project Manager and Sr. Analyst. David is responsible for managing and providing technical leadership on a wide range of IT/GIS projects for various clients. Their responsibilities include business analysis, software and database development, GIS analysis, and enterprise architecture design. David also handles proposal development, personnel management, project oversight, business development, and account management.

David Roberts pursued higher education at the University at Buffalo. David completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Geography, with a certificate in GIS and Physical Geography, from 2003 to 2008. Following this, they went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Geography (GIS) from the same university between 2008 and 2011. In August 2014, David obtained a certification in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) from the GIS Certification Institute.
