Rick Busch

Rick Busch has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Rick currently holds the position of Sr. Project Manager/Sr. Analyst at Resource Data, Inc. Since joining the company in February 2016, they have been involved in managing projects and providing analytical support.

Prior to their current role, Rick served as the General Manager at Finsight, LLC from October 2009 to January 2016. During their time there, their responsibilities included research and development in computer vision applications for fisheries science and fishery management. Rick also provided custom programming and IT consulting services, specializing in database design and development, data warehousing, business intelligence solutions, network and database administration, web development, and mobile application development.

From February 2002 to December 2009, Rick worked at Wostmann & Associates as a Senior Managing Associate. Rick participated in and led numerous software design and development projects for clients in fisheries management and other industries. Rick was also part of the company's management team.

Rick's earlier experiences include working as a Contractor at SeaState from November 2001 to February 2002, as a Web Developer at Bidpath Corporation in 2001, and as a Technical Architect at Aris Corporation from 1997 to 2001. Rick also worked as a Contractor at Microsoft in the Graphics Business Unit from February 1996 to November 1996.

Rick's earlier career involved roles as a Consultant at Trilogy Development Group from April 1992 to July 1992, and as a Programmer at Animated Systems & Design from September 1990 to March 1992.

Rick Busch attended Stanford University from 1984 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Symbolic Systems: Artificial Intelligence. In 1987, Rick participated in a Semester at Sea program, although they did not obtain a degree or pursue a specific field of study during that time. In 2021, they obtained a SnowPro Core Certification from Snowflake.
