Resource Mechanical Insulation (RMI) is a commercial and industrial mechanical insulation contractor headquartered in Romulus, Michigan, serving Southeast Michigan and the Midwest.

Founded in 2021, RMI provides a full range of insulation services: pipe insulation for HVAC, process piping, steam/condensate, and cryogenic systems; duct insulation including grease duct and boiler breeching; equipment insulation for tanks and vessels; removable insulation blankets; field-applied jacketing in aluminum, stainless steel, and PVC; and custom pipe support fabrication.

Our workforce consists of Local 25 union-trained insulators — OSHA 10/30-hour certified, CPR and first aid trained, with years of hands-on experience in commercial and industrial environments. With over 231,000 OSHA-tracked man-hours since 2021 and zero lost-time incidents, our EMR rating of 0.76 reflects a safety record 24% better than industry average.
