Sameer Tirkar

Sameer Tirkar possesses extensive experience in climate finance and structured finance, currently serving as the Head of Climate Infrastructure Investments for Asia-Pacific at responsAbility Investments AG since November 2015. In this role, Sameer develops and launches climate-focused funds, including leading a USD 500 million Asia Climate Fund. Previously, Sameer held positions such as Principal - Climate Finance, focusing on building climate finance debt portfolios, and Senior Investment Officer for the Energy Debt team, supporting renewable energy projects. Prior experience includes Associate Director and Associate Vice President roles in Structured Finance at IDFC Limited, where Sameer managed the lifecycle of structured transactions, and Manager at Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Pvt Ltd, involved in debt and equity assignments. Sameer began a career in investment banking at IndusInd Bank and completed a PGDBM in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.
