Paul Docherty

Paul Docherty is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in asset management, financial services, data analysis, strategy, and economic policy advisory. Currently serving as Head of Research and Portfolio Construction at Rest since February 2023, Paul has previously held key positions such as General Manager (Strategy and Risk) at Spirit Super, Economist at The Brattle Group, and Senior Lecturer at Monash University. Paul also has a substantial academic background, including a PhD in Finance and various teaching roles at the University of Newcastle and Macquarie Generation. Research interests encompass market efficiency, asset pricing, and funds management, complemented by a comprehensive educational foundation including a Bachelor of Laws and a Certificate in Advanced Econometrics from The London School of Economics.
