Restore Pedder is dedicated to restoring Lake Pedder and the Huon and Serpentine Valleys to their natural state. Once one of the world's most beautiful lakes, Lake Pedder was flooded in 1972 for hydroelectric development, destroying a unique wilderness of immense environmental and cultural significance.

We work toward restoration through community engagement, education, and direct action. Our activities include environmental monitoring, field trips, volunteer programs, and advocacy that keeps the vision of restoration alive.
By connecting people with this remarkable place and building awareness of what was lost, we're fostering a movement for ecological restoration. Restoring Lake Pedder would revive unique ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, and strengthen climate resilience in Tasmania's wilderness heartland.

Join us in working toward a restored Lake Pedder—for nature, for future generations, and for a more resilient environment.
