Edward Louw has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Edward started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Harris Corporation in 2007. Edward then worked as a Software Engineer Co-op at Thomson Reuters before joining Lockheed Martin Systems Integration as a Software Engineer Co-op, where they primarily worked on Sweden's mail system.
In 2009, Edward joined Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training as a Software Engineer. Here, they designed C/C++ drivers for avionics systems testing and integration using industry-standard serial buses. Edward worked on this project until 2013.
In 2014, Edward joined Pearson as an iOS Developer and was responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Pearson Common Core app used by school districts across the nation. Edward worked on this project until 2015.
Edward then joined Fuzz as an iOS Engineering Lead. Here, they played a key role in architecting the Shake Shack order ahead mobile app from its inception in Swift 1 to its evolution in Swift 4. The app currently handles approximately 170,000 monthly users. Edward also worked as a Senior iOS Developer at Fuzz from 2015 to 2016.
Currently, Edward is working at Resy as a Senior iOS Developer, starting from 2019.
Edward Louw attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Software Engineering and Foreign Language & Culture (Russian). Edward also earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Computer Software Engineering from the same institution during the same period.
