Harry Bower has a diverse work experience in event management and control room operations. Harry started their career in 2015, working as a Bar/FOH Team Member at The Boileroom and later as a Front of House Team Member at Old Market House Brixham - St Austell Brewery. In 2017, they became a Team Leader at Old Market House Brixham and also worked as an Event Office Manager at EventShaper.

Harry then transitioned into event control room operations, working as a Control Room Operator at Ascot Racecourse alongside Solutions Critical Events from 2017 to 2022. Harry also worked as a Control Room Operator + Manager in a freelance capacity for various events such as festivals, major sporting events, and stadiums, coordinating responses to incidents and ensuring safety.

In 2016, they became an Event Control Room Operator for London Marathon Events, where they operate the radio channel, manages incidents, and liaises with stakeholders. This role has been ongoing since 2016 and continued throughout the pandemic.

Harry's most recent work experience includes founding and running Twentysomething News, a news opinion site for people in their 20s, from 2020 to 2022. Harry also worked in event management roles at emap as a Deputy Head of Event Operations from 2018 to present, and as a Senior Event Manager from 2021 to 2023. In these roles, they managed teams, developed and executed various events, and contributed to company-wide initiatives.

Additionally, Harry founded and held leadership positions in The Tourism, Hospitality & Events Society (T.H.E Society) at the University of Surrey from 2016 to 2018.

Harry Bower has a diverse education history. Harry started their formal education in 2009 at Brixham College, where they completed their GCSEs and A-Levels. Following this, from 2012 to 2015, they attended South Devon College, where they pursued a degree in Performing Arts & Technical Theatre, focusing on theater. Subsequently, from 2015 to 2018, Harry attended the University of Surrey, where they studied International Events Management with a specialization in Hospitality, Tourism, and Events Management.

Additionally, Harry has obtained certifications to further enhance their qualifications. In April 2016, they received an Event Safety Passport (S.P.A) from the Safety Pass Alliance (SPA). In January 2021, they obtained the COVID-19 Awareness for Events Certification from SafeShow. Most recently, in March 2023, Harry obtained the IOSH – Safe Management at Live Events certification from IOSH.
