Mike Kane

Mike Kane is currently a board member at Rethreaded, a non-profit organization that provides hope and opportunities for survivors of human trafficking by selling their handcrafted products. Prior to their work with Rethreaded, Kane had a long and successful career in the corporate world.

Kane spent over 20 years with Aetna, working their way up from Chief of Staff to Director of Shared Services. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Project Management Office, Executive Reporting Team, and Audit/Compliance/Privacy Team. Their organization included 5,000 associates and had an annual budget of $400 million.

From 1998 to 2012, Kane was also Vice President of Default Cash & Support at EverBank. In this role, they were responsible for overall funds processing and payment application for the default mortgaging portfolio, as well as the end-to-end document management process for the overall Default Servicing Organization. Mike led 100 associates and managed an annual budget of $4 million.

Prior to their work in the corporate world, Kane served as a Surface Warfare Supply Officer in the United States Navy from 1994 to 1998.

Mike Kane holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Pensacola High School. Mike also attended the U.S. Navy Supply Corps Officer School in Athens, GA.
