Benjamin Lui

Benjamin Lui is a Senior Product Designer at Retool since July 2024. Previously, Benjamin served as a Product Designer at Samsara from December 2021 to May 2024, focusing on telematics and developer ecosystems. Prior experience includes a role as Product Designer at Shopify from June 2019 to November 2021, where Benjamin worked on admin search, merchandising, and mobile merchandising. Earlier positions at Shopify also included a design internship in 2018 and a software developer internship in 2017. Benjamin's software development experience extends back to internships at TELUS, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Prosper Canada, emphasizing data visualization, machine learning, and financial services access. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Computer Science with Honours from the University of Waterloo, completed in 2019.
