Julie Chen

Julie Chen is a seasoned professional with diverse experience in technology, investment, and community leadership. Currently serving as the Enterprise Technical Account Manager Team Lead at Retool since 2021, Julie temporarily manages several roles while contributing to customer-facing engineering. Previously, at Contrary from 2018 to 2023, Julie held multiple positions, including NYC Hub Leader, Chief of Staff, and Investor, emphasizing early-stage investments and community involvement. As a Co-Founder of Peerlift (2017-2021), Julie supported over 100,000 students in higher education opportunities. Additional roles include Investor at Bessemer Venture Partners and Software Engineer at Facebook, along with formative experiences in nonprofit development at Hack4Impact. Julie holds dual degrees from the Jerome Fisher M&T Program at the Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
