Uri Gopher has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. In 2002, they served as the Director of the Walter Lebach Institute for Jewish-Arab Coexistence at Tel-Aviv University, where they coordinated research projects, organized discussions, and managed grants. From 2006 to 2007, Uri was the Co-Director of Orr Watch and Policy Reform at Sikkuy, where they monitored the implementation of national inquiry commission recommendations and edited policy papers.
Between 2007 and 2012, Uri worked as the Director of Policy Change at The Abraham Fund Initiatives, leading advocacy actions and formulating policy goals. Uri then became an Advisor for Arab-Jewish equality policy development at The Israel Democracy Institute, where they developed strategic implementation programming and worked closely with senior officials.
In 2014, Uri served as the Executive Director of the Hagar Association, and in 2015, they became the Founding Executive Director of The Applied Center for Psychology of Social Change at IDC University. In these roles, they directed initiatives aimed at reducing racism, fostering tolerance, and developing scientific-based interventions.
From 2018 to 2020, Uri held the position of Head of Public Sector at the NOVA Project. Uri managed research, evaluation, and data teams, helping government ministries develop evidence-based and data-driven public services.
Most recently, since 2020, Uri has been working at retrain.ai, where they hold the role of System Integration and Project Oversight.
Uri Gopher started their education at the University of Haifa from 1995 to 1999, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics and Psychology, majoring in both fields. Uri then attended Tel Aviv University from 2002 to 2006 and obtained a Masters of Arts degree in Social Psychology. Later on, in 2011 to 2012, Uri attended the Harvard Kennedy School, where they pursued a Masters of Arts degree in Public Administration.
