David Lewis

David Lewis is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in African reporting. Currently serving as Africa Special Correspondent for Reuters since September 2016, Lewis leads investigative coverage across the continent. Prior roles at Reuters include Deputy Bureau Chief for West and Central Africa, where Lewis focused on political, business, and security issues in over 20 countries, and Congo Correspondent, providing in-depth reporting on the region's transition to democracy. Earlier experience includes work as a correspondent for The Economist and as a stringer in multiple African nations. David Lewis holds a Modern Languages degree from the University of Bristol.
