Ernest Scheyder

Ernest Scheyder is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in reporting on energy, mining, and economic topics. Since July 2009, Scheyder has served as a Senior Correspondent for Reuters, focusing on the green energy transition and mineral resources, while also acting as Deputy Global Mining Editor, overseeing coverage strategy and multimedia efforts. Previous roles include U.S. Energy Correspondent and Deputy Bureau Chief, where coverage centered on major corporations like Exxon Mobil and Chevron, and Bakken Oil Correspondent, based in Williston, North Dakota, which involved in-depth reporting on the region's oil boom. Earlier in the career, Scheyder worked as a Business Reporter for the Associated Press and held positions at The Wall Street Journal and Bangor Daily News.
