Rae Wee

Rae Wee is an experienced journalist currently serving as an Asia Markets Correspondent at Reuters since June 2022, previously holding the position of Asia Emerging Markets Correspondent. Prior to Reuters, Rae worked as a Singapore Reporter for Reorg, focusing on the fixed income market across Southeast Asia, and as a Journalist with The Business Times, reporting on the construction and infrastructure sectors. Early career experience includes serving as a Camp Instructor for High Achievers (Singapore), where management of student groups and facilitation of outdoor activities were key responsibilities. Rae also gained experience as a Staff Reporter for The Writer's Bloc at the University of Maryland, a publication dedicated to the arts. Rae holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies (Honours) in Journalism from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, complemented by a Fall Semester Exchange Programme in Journalism at the University of Maryland.
