Scott Murdoch

Scott Murdoch is an experienced financial journalist currently serving as Asia Capital Markets Correspondent for Reuters since August 2019. Prior to this role, Scott held the position of Data Room Co-Editor at The Australian from January 2017 to March 2019, where a daily column focused on Australian financial markets, including Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), and Debt Capital Markets (DCM). Scott's tenure at The Australian also included serving as China Correspondent, covering a variety of significant issues while based in Beijing, as well as roles in banking and financial services reporting. Earlier experience includes positions at News Corp and The Courier-Mail, with a career beginning as a cadet journalist at APN News and Media. Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of Southern Queensland, completed between 2000 and 2009.
