Summer Zhen is an experienced finance and investment journalist currently serving as the Asia Hedge Funds Correspondent for Reuters since August 2022, specializing in hedge funds and the Asia markets, with occasional coverage of cryptocurrency. Prior to this role, Summer held the position of Vice President of Investor Relations at Greenwoods Asset Management, one of Asia's largest hedge funds, from March 2021 to August 2022. Previous experience includes roles in investor relations and communications at Atlantis Investment Management, real estate reporting at S&P Global Market Intelligence, and business reporting at the South China Morning Post and Ming Pao Newspaper, where Summer received the Best Young Reporter award at the Hong Kong News Awards in 2014. Summer holds a Master's degree in Journalism from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Arts from Waseda University, as well as having completed a one-year exchange program at the University of California, Davis.
