Principal Engineer, Power Systems Studies at Revamp Engineering

Vivek Ramachandron is a Principal Engineer of Power Systems Studies at Revamp Engineering. Vivek has worked in the electrical engineering field for over 6 years. Vivek started their career at SunPower Corporation as an Electrical Engineer III. Vivek was responsible for developing product specifications, study guidelines, excel based calculators and training tools to help develop the global electrical engineering team. Vivek also led electrical design on six utility scale power plant projects totaling nearly 350 MW.

In April 2017, they joined Electric Power Engineers, Inc as a Senior Power Systems Engineer. There, they provided electrical engineering expertise for a variety of product development activities. Vivek also provided extensive design support on several power plant projects in the EMEA region. Vivek coordinated and developed practices to standardize electrical interconnection and project development practices. Vivek also mentored and managed work by interns and junior engineers.

Ramachandron is familiar with software packages such as Etap, WinIGS, Cymcap, PSCAD, PSLF, DIgSILENT and PowerWorld.

Vivek Ramachandron has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI). Vivek also has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
