Ryan Li has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ryan is currently the co-founder and CEO of Revert Technologies, Inc. since October 2021. In 2022, they became a fellow at the Startup Leadership Program NYC, where they gain inspiration and learning opportunities. Ryan also holds the position of On Deck Climate Tech Fellow at On Deck since July 2021.
Prior to their current roles, Ryan worked at Alibaba.com as a Business & Corporate Development Manager from June 2019 to September 2021. Here, they played a key role in launching B2B platform services to US SMBs and establishing partnerships with major industry players.
Before joining Alibaba, Ryan worked as an Investment Banking Summer Associate at Greentech Capital Advisors in 2018 and as a Renewable Thermal Technology Research Intern at the Center for Business and Environment at Yale in 2017.
Ryan also has a strong background in the energy sector, having held multiple positions at Shell. Ryan served as a Cost Estimating Subject Matter Expert, Completion Engineering Project Manager, Deepwater Hydraulic Fracture Advisor, Well Abandonment Rig Supervisor, and Well Intervention Engineer between 2012 and 2017. Ryan also worked as a Process Economic Evaluator at Shell Technology Center in 2011 and as a Process Engineer at Shell Deer Park Refinery in 2010.
Early in their career, Ryan gained experience as a Business Analyst at Student Agencies, Inc. from October 2008 to February 2010.

Ryan Li has a strong educational background in both business and engineering. Ryan obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering with a Business Minor from Cornell University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. After gaining a foundation in engineering and business, they pursued further education at the Yale School of Management. Ryan completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Yale School of Management from 2017 to 2019, with a focus on business.
In addition to their formal education, Ryan Li has also obtained certification in the US Patent and Trademark Registration Bar from the US Patent and Trademark Office in August 2016. Ryan has also been certified as a Shell Round I & II Certified Global Well Site Supervisor by Shell in August 2015. These certifications showcase their expertise in the legal aspects of patents and trademarks as well as their competence in supervising well sites on a global scale.
